The Collection – Transforming Canada’s Science and Technology Heritage

The Canada Science and Technology Museum Corporation, through its three Museums - the Canada Agriculture Museum, the Canada Aviation and Space Museum, and the Canada Science and Technology Museum has a rich and varied collection of artifacts, trade literature, photographs, archival material and drawings. This collection contains more than one million objects demonstrating the transformation of our country, focusing on several major subject areas:

  • Renewable Resources including agriculture
  • Non renewable Resources including mining
• Physical sciences and medicine
• Transportation
  • Aviation
  • Land
  • Marine
• Industrial Technology and Design

Only two percent of this Science and Technology collection is on display. The new Canada Science and Technology Museum will allow up to 15 percent of the collection to be exhibited in the Museum.
